World Water Day March 22nd 2013

Mission: To offer a unique, interactive experience for all youth that will both educate and empower them to make an impact on the global water crisis.

A precious resource that unites us all

The United Nations has declared March 22nd of every year as World Water Day, a time for organizations and individuals around the globe to work together to increase awareness of the global water crisis. This year's theme is the International Year of Water Cooperation, with the objective to "raise awareness, both on the potential for increased cooperation, and on the challenges facing water management in light of the increase in demand for water access, allocation and services."

The theme is to learn about their local water sources, ways to conserve water, and how to protect our natural water resources.

  • Develop an appreciation for what it feels like to trek 6 kilometers every day to fetch water for one's family to survive
  • Learn how clean water makes it to their tap every day and discover innovative ways that people around the world treat their water to ensure it is safe
  • Identify creative solutions and simple actions they can take that will have a lasting impact on the water crisis.
